The season opener includes Bartok’s suspenseful one-act opera: Bluebeard’s Castle.  In this gothic tale, Duke Bluebeard and his new wife Judith enter the great hall of his large, gloomy, chilly castle. The Duke has a mysterious past and Judith notices seven locked doors. Come find out what is behind the doors!!!

Fall under the spell of Tapiola, Sibelius’ atmospheric tone poem about forest spirits and listen to Carlisle native, Alex Kinmonth, play a rarely heard classical oboe concerto.
